>>23080594There's just something about Ghibli's overall aesthetic that resonates with me, the way characters are designed, the way the worlds look and move, etc.
Not to get all fancy-dan for a moment, but a lot of Ghibli films are more "experiences" than anything else, brief windows into another world, though out of those two, Spirited Away does have a cohesive plot with a beginning, middle and end(Totoro is more a period-piece slice of life with some fantasy elements thrown in).
Almost everything I've seen from them will have some special place in my heart.
