Female vtubers collabing with men gets them antis and potentially makes them miss out on parasocial paypigs. If they're a GFE type, it ends their whole career.
Male vtubers collabing with women is basically pure benefit for them. NOT doing it is career suicide. There's basically 0 male streamer viewers that care if they collab with females, and fujos are 99% shippers that actively want them to (even if they ship self-insert x talent) and will eventually get bored with them if they don't.
I think that's why so many popular male streamers are ones that have latched on to a particular female streamer early. "Cute interaction between X & Y" clips are a gold mine for clippers, and feeds attention to the male.
Stars don't get any of that, for the most part, so people never get their algorithms pointed to their circle unless they go out of their way to join it themselves.
