A lot of the trans vtubers are transphobic because they don't want to share the space with other trans people. Gay and lesbians can be transphobic or racist, don't worry it's just a preference bro ayylmao. A lot of the allies do and say bullshit things. SEAs stick together, appropriate black culture stereotypes, and are racist against other minorities. It goes on and on.
Because they put on a fake persona and puppeteer an anime model that didn't absolve them of all their shitty attitudes. If it's not immediately obvious that's because most of them have some semblance of understanding optics in their mind. Some of them work for PR and community jobs for game companies so they are used to saying a lot of bullshit as if they believe it. Then on their streams they are completely different but still play a fictional role. Shitty people that do shitty things, have their fans tell them they're good people, then get drunk and do drugs to help them forget who they really are.
As far fetched and imaginative as that might sound it perfectly describes at least a handful of actual people in the vtuber industry. They pay lip service to stuff that they think will be positive for their image. That's it.
