Bit of a blogpost, feel free to ignore.
I recently got super into that StartEnd cover song and found a Nijisanji version from Dokuzuhonsha :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpE3oRKpJQEFelt it wasn't that good and wanted to check whether it was just my holobias, so I created a simultaneous viewing thingey and synced it properly :

The mixing on the Niji version is just plain bad, both the instruments and the vocals are very muted. Some drumbeats for example, only play on the Startend version (mute the Startend version during the first 30s and it becomes obvious).
When simultaneously playing both the Startend version just dominates the song in both vocals and instruments. Doesn't help that Kuzuha sings a lot of his parts in a lower scale instead of harmonizing. Dora and Yashiro tried pretty hard but obviously they couldn't save it by themselves.
Was this because it was 2019 and they didn't have good audio mixers back then?
