It's why their tech barely shows any sign of progression because it's pointless changing things. Some of the most entertaining streams (and clips) just have literal PNGs illuminating in collabs when someone said something funny or reacted in a cute way. All we really need is a cute anime girl to look at and listen to. Audio and a single PNG can provide most of what we need.
People constantly give Cover shit for their bad tech, which is not wrong, but almost every chuuba I've ever watched that has superior tech is fully relying on it to compensate for a lack of personality and content. It wears off quickly so it's a pointless thing to praise. The kino and goofy/cursed drawings from Nene and Korone are much more entertaining than some shitty asset that tracks the avater, as an example.
