I'm not sure why they included facebook gaming since there is no facebook gaming vtubers on the list but...
>Based on hours watched.
>Somehow you extrapolate that holo females are reclining instead of niji males having to play more just to keep up.
>The top holo JP girl Pekora, out of 8 videos in april, 5 just hover slightly above $1,000 or less in superchats. The other 3 have reasons for hitting $2,000+, $4,000+ $9,000+ because of a special occasion or follow up to a special occasion.
>Gura who has only done 2 videos so far in April, has one at $3,000+ but another that is just under $6,000 in superchats.
>Top Niji according to this chart has 11 videos out in April. 1 is above $5,000 in superchats because it's an april fools episode obviously. 3 are in the slightly above or less than $100 with the lowest being in just $6. Another 4 are in slightly above or below $1,000. The rest hover between $237-634.
If we take out the unusually high superchat in each one, they'd be relatively the same with Pekora being higher since she plays more obviously. Gura would obviously earn more if she played more which is also obvious. What I'm saying is that relative success is not tied down to some linear abstraction of data that focuses on one area. Hell, Coco and Rushia aren't there even though they are the top superchat earners on the list. There are other factor's that are missing that sleek simple charts don't tell you but people who promote such things conveniently forget that to spin a narrative. The only thing this chart could possibly tell you, other than streaming more gets you more viewer hours, is rewatchability instead of watching it live. I think for the most part, most would watch hololive live more than watch the VODs after. Most can handle 1 hr but that number decreases the higher the hours more that it takes to watch all of one video. I could probably make a more accurate chart to better reflect how they got the numbers instead of just a flat hours watched chart but I actually have better things to do that prove some anons wrong on what is consider success when most on the chart should be earning more than the average middle class American.
