Play something other people aren't playing, LoL, Valorant and Overwatch are hypersaturated with streamers, if you don't have a hook to grab people (either a decent personality or being great at the game) you're gonna have a bad time. Nobody wants to watch somebody with the personality of a wet blanket be shit at a game, but somebody charismatic can make shitty gameplay fun and somebody with the personality of Plank can still draw a crowd with high-end gameplay.
If you're scared about flopping you don't actually want to be a vtuber, you just want attention, which is a whole other issue.
