Streaming as a platform is focused less on making entertaining videos and more about forming a connection with the streamer, whether it be gfe or just general "friendship" the point of streaming is then off the cuff nature of it which feels more personable.
Comparing holo/niji to kizuna is silly because theyre content is nothing alike and neither is the target audience.
It's honestly mostly nijisanjis fault rather than hololive but holo was aiming for the same market and made it successful which is why in these days vtubing is synonymous with streaming and not just general content creation.
