I don't really enjoy buying most stuff that people care about. I have a small apartment, I have a car and a truck I paid $1k and $2.5k for respectively, all my clothes are from Walmart, etc., and I know that upgrading any of these wouldn't actually make me happier because I've tried. I also have nontrivial piles of money, there's an envelope with $10k stuffed in my computer case right now and that's far from all of it. I understand how normal people would see it as weird, but supporting my oshi actually gives me pleasure in a way socially-acceptable money holes don't, plus I get a bit of attention as a bonus. I'll keep doing it.
