Kiara appeared at first glance to be a weak link and thus an easy target, it was never actually about anything she did, overblown or not, it was pure psychopathic opportunism, the mentality of a bully. Before any other group was identified as Kiara anti's, be they "eggs", seagulls, dogfuckers, etc etc, the original group was Kiwifarms looking for a "lolcow"
Things that people now (mostly) can correctly identify as Kiara's virtues, not her flaws, such as her honesty and passion, were things that such groups could at first latch onto and warp into appearing malign in nature, from there even a small group could spread their fabrications to the more unintelligent members of the fanbase on jp and early vt.
It's an ironic and unfortunate truth that despite being on an anonymous website, with no direct consequences to having your own opinion and no need to mindlessly follow the crowd, people will still attempt to fit in and believe something if they see/think they see enough people doing it as well. Astroturfing works and takes effort to dispel.
