2. Lack's design did not come across very well. The pointy ears, large eyes with small face and her mouth shape made her kind of look like a lizard.
3. She didn't like how lewd the design was. The boob window got her in trouble with Youtube but also in general she doesn't like really sexy outfits which is why her New Years and new model are more modest.
4. Her original design was very Chinese influenced and after the Coco incident, Cover is trying to erase any Chinese design elements from their talents. It's also why Nene's lore and outfit got retconned and I suspect this is actually the main reason she doesn't use it other than just not liking it.
I actually liked Flare's original design/outfit and her New Years outfit, though I don't mind the new one either except for the headphones and cat-ears. It's kind of sad to me that she seems to want to move away from her "cool" image to a more cute image since she was the only girl who perfectly filled that niche for me within Hololive and why I liked her to begin with. Okayu and Botan just don't do it for me the same way Flare does.
Anyways, she's using her Elf ears again for this sponsored stream so at least things are looking up.
