So, Offkai Expo was fun. Just got back, gonna write up my thoughts here. (Excuse the shitty image, both my phone and DSLR got pretty confused by the main stage's lighting.)
A friend pointed this first bit out to me- Hololive's absence was probably their biggest strength. If they'd been there, I would've gone to Ina's panel, the big Hololive concert, bought some Korone merch, and maybe checked out the side thing Lazulight would've had.
Instead, Lazulight had a big concert and I got to see a shitload of indies I never would've heard of otherwise. I got to experience Luto's tire screech of a laugh for the first time, I watched a sentient lava lamp talk about how to be an eThot, I talked to three vtubers (only one of whom I actually paid to see), watched some nerds gush about wrassling, got to see a song made live, had a blast playing a quiz game with a group I barely knew existed before the con, and saw not one but two amazing concerts from talents I mostly knew nothing about.
