In theory those stocks could be traded or bought and sold to other countries though there might be some sort of law forbidding that until the stocks open internationally themselves. That said just owning stocks doesn't mean you own the company, though the majority stock holder can somewhat influence which direction the company takes depending on how valuable the stock is. That doesn't stop anyone from trying to outright purchase Niji but there doesn't seem to be much interest in buying it out or any other vtubing companies at the moment.
