In the leadup to the rumors about NijiEN people were slowly trickling into the subreddit, hoping for a similar environment. What they found was -

Some still stayed despite that, but then Riku had the bright idea to acquire the subreddit officially (which is honestly big news, and was the time they had the biggest eyes on them).
But then he just set the chuubas with a schedule and for the next week FLOODED the fucking place with at least 20 different chuubas "introducing" themselves with one post and maybe one comment if they were lucky.
At the time they had the most eyes on them, the subreddit was just
>"hello, I'm from liver #1 from Nijisanji">"hello, I'm from liver #2 from Nijisanji">"hello, I'm from liver #3 from Nijisanji"for an entire fucking week.
Of course the "no memes" shit was promptly thrown to the dogs once the new NijiEN talents started posting memes themselves, but by that time the sub was on the road to recline.
