I was worried. Those tactic based strategy games can be difficult. I've never really enjoyed them having only played the big ones like FF Tactics and Fire Emblem Three Houses.

That game has a lot of mechanics in it so I can see how it can suck the fun out. I'd suggest any of the GBA FE games or Advanced Wars. You can emulate them and they are simple enough to be accessible but still provide a good challenge
