>>2402963It only works with V-Shojo because the rules the girls negotiated were written over stuff they obviously stated to also refuse to do if they were to get in, this way no one there seems to work against their wills or likings, this way they avoid like full-on corpo protectionism (Hololive Style) or not flat-out selling their image to a third party with more control over their activities than them in the end (Nijisanji with China), if anything, V-Shojo's model of work seems to be far more similar to the one used by VOMS but without the Japanese entertainment and corporation baseline constantly haunting the girl's life in a more or less undefined line, also, we kinda know Mel took the first step because she knows doing "site" stuff and regular streaming is only gonna last her so much, so she took this route alongside the other co-founders + members so they could eventually branch out to other things (Mel says she wants to go into being a producer of stuff once she's done being Melody, what she's gonna produce is beyond me or anyone really).
So yeah, V-Shojo is a rare bug, not a superbug, it will not "kill and replace" the current model of the VTubing industry but is there, and people go to see it because there's nothing exactly like it, once the rare bug is gone, it is back to the usual until either a superbug comes and changes everything or more rare bugs catch wind.
