Also the volume of messages sometimes makes the perception very different.
There are also people who also simply lack the ability to properly articulate themselves, in a way that also communicates their intent. Even in their native language.
Feedback is something where you can easily see that. I was on the receiving end with one or two videos of mine that got over 100k views (completely unrelated to VTubers). Lots of people are unable voice their opinions as opinions. So some comments that were probably just intended as suggestions felt more like orders.
I would also say that the effect of how you word something, is actually something that is not taught enough.
