She puts on the voice because she wants her character to be seen as chipper and cute, but it has nothing to do with the chicken nickname, she just figures that's what fits the character the most. After all, you don't associate successful fast food chains with deep voices, that's reserved for the depressed cashier doing a 12 hour shift in a moderately dangerous neighborhood and I doubt that'd be better.
