At this point, it just feels like someone trying to inconvenience as many vtubers as possible, although they were so indiscriminate with their targets that they ousted themselves to the wider scene within six or so hours, so at this point, the only people really at risk are vtubers who live under a rock (somehow alongside their audience). If there's something bigger, they probably just blew it. That said, YouTube is so slow and silent with handling these things that this'll probably have a chilling effect on the community with subscriber cooldowns.

I'm leaning towards the former because Anya Melfissa handled a bot raid without getting terminated, although this is something that'll likely reveal itself as people use it as a precautionary measure. Anecdotally, the people banned were using formats that usually have the chat on screen.

The bot account (who is still not banned BTW) has his subscriptions open. I don’t know if that was always the case, but you can clearly see the channel that the bot tried to target.

I'm assuming the AI is only activated when something is reported. So they probably would delete those accounts if reported, but by that point the damage is done, and they're just disposable throwaways the spammer probably never intended to use more than once anyway.

Bot accounts are often stolen accounts, not created specifically to become bots. So the french youtubers might be the original subscriptions from the account before it was stolen and the bot actually was targeting only vtubers.

You don’t usually create bots, you buy them. So anything before the sell is not from our guy.
What is from our guy, is that both known bots have the same profile pictures, both use a name with the words "K*D" and "P*SSY" or "P*SSSY". The name have changed a few times and they write the same type of messages in live chat.
Only one of the two accounts have public subscriptions.

Now is probably a worse than ever for a time to move to Twitch. Staff have been saying that Amazon has been been putting increasing pressure on Twitch to monetize and cut costs, in order to recoup the costs of purchasing it. So we're probably going to see worse customer support, worse payment for streamers, and more ads in the near future.

Normally I'd say that almost anything is worse than youtube's platform bans, no matter how bad things are on Twitch. But Twitch's moderation is also notoriously arbitrary in general, and(numerous vtubers have claimed to have been suspended due to silly things like underboob clevage or high-leg leotards, though I don't know how much of that is true.

In any case, corpos especially will never push hard for Twitch except as a backup to Youtube, simply due to the fact Twitch demands nearly double the cut of the pie. (Indies don't care because they need the increased exposure/promotion they get on Twtich, but corpos have cross-promotion and their own advertising budgets, so don't benefit as greatly given the costs).
