>>24060126There are two options for Twitch. One, you can gift a single sub to a specific individual. Most people don't do this for the obvious reason that there's usually no particular reason why a nobody deserves a sub over another nobody. It's mostly used to feel that rush of dopamine when another sizable streamer enters the chat unsubbed and they can show that they're being a good and prominent member of the tribe by standing out to magnanimously welcome the esteemed guest. There is also a "Gift Anonymously" checkbox, but they never seem to tick it.
The other way is community gifting, which is random while prioritizing some aspects like whether the person is currently subbed, active, and so on. Some things like multi-month gifting explicitly exclude people with an active subscription.
