for those fans who doesn't care about numbers at all, should never be happy when their oshi reached a subscriber milestone
and that's a fucking lie, not even vtuber themselves would think like that

Back to dumb anon (me) here
Some fans always come up with narrative “why do you care about the numbers, are you watching the stream or the numbers?”
Numbers is a major indicator of popularity, if you’re not popular compared to your peers, you can’t help but thinking you’re doing a bad job. It’s even worse if you’re serious with the job.
Two reasons why fans care about oshi’s numbers:
1) getting low numbers makes her feels like doing a bad job as vtuber, making her unhappy (in your mind)
2) getting low numbers doesn’t do justice to your fantastic oshi, it’s unfair and not right (in your mind)
Personally, I hope my oshi do okay numbers, because I think she deserved it, and don’t want low numbers to make her unhappy.
(But not like I have control over any thing, so its just wishful thinking.)
If your oshi always get low numbers, you must somehow convince yourself that your oshi doesn’t care about numbers, and numbers is just a majority taste (most people are dumb anyways)
