With several holos developing serious throat problems, the most recent example being Pekora, I think we should start to get used to the idea that the era of expecting to see daily or almost daily streams is over, now we will be lucky if we have three streams a week from each holo with throat problems, personally I think its for the best so the holos don't get burned by forcing themselves to stream and we get more varied and entertaining streams (I hope) than the generic lets plays, plus my sleep schedule will thank me a lot.
The only thing I regret is that I took for granted having Marine stream regularly before her first break last year, how I miss those times of having almost one day a week of karaoke, now we are lucky if we have a karaoke stream every 2 or 3 months.

A big issue was that a lot of the members didn't/don't have proper vocal training so they damage their throat either by speaking with a different voice or just speaking for extended periods of time in a more energetic and loud voice than normal. I feel the big shift might be more members taking vocal lessons, like Marine is now going to 2 vocal coaches in order to talk in a way that doesn't damage her throat.

I'm not saying that vocal training is gonna make them immune to throat proble.ms but it will help them talk in a way that is healthier for their throats, look at someone like Kanata who is notoriously buried in recordings and work, streams daily and even pushes her voice with impressions and pitch changes yet at most she's had hoarse voice for a day. Some proper training, good warmup vocal routine and care goes a long way.

Stuff like moving house becomes a lot easier if 90% of the work is being done by someone else.
I guess that's what their managers are supposed to be in part but they're so obviously useless when it comes to almost everything that it would be worth having someone specifically for mundane tasks and day-to-day tasks. Like a maid-cum-secretary or something.

If Marine can spend $400k on a music video, she could surely spend $40k for an assistant's yearly salary to make her life a billion times easier. And she could do it the way she paid for the music video too, where cover hires the person but it comes out of her salary, so functionally it would be a tax break too and she would only be forgoing half of whatever the salary is. It would probably make money too, at least if her vocal chords weren't fucked, since she would make more money with the time that would get freed up than she would be paying. Twice now her schedule has been filled up with nonsense relating to moving house and it's eaten into her activity. Her time is too valuable to be wasted like that.

In a bit of a bittersweet way it was them being cursed by success, I wonder if the global explosion thanks to Covid led them to squeeze out as much streaming and work as possible to strike while the iron was hot and to make the most of an event that may never come again in their lives. Hindsight is 20/20 that they should have paced themselves better but in the moment its a bit understandable why they pushed so hard.

according to Marine, her sister just wanted lots of room, big bedrooms and living areas in terms of sheer floorspace, because she was used to living in the boonies where land is cheap and large houses with lots of large rooms are normal

But places like that aren't very common or cheap in the city, and so they couldn't find anything her sister would be happy with.
