>>24230523On thing that I've noticed is there is lots of time when Hololive often has no streams whatsoever. Or the streams they do have are really dull.
Like, I remember when Sana was doing some awful astronomy review stream, at the same time as the great Nijisanji mario kart collab, which was so memorable that people still talk about it today. Or when Ame was doing her sponsored stream, at the exact same time Selen was fighting for her life in a $100,000 tournament against pro-players. Or when Mumei was having some boring-ass chatting stream, at the same time Miori Celesta was doing her epic karaoke collab with Yuna for the last time.
In each of these cases, thousands of people chose the inferior stream, boring their own asses off, not even aware that something far better was going on that they were missing. This is a clear example of how corporate loyalty is fucking people over, and giving the consumer an inferior outcome.
Ideally, the consumer would not religiously stick to a single brand-name, but judge all the streams and choose the most entertaining one. But that's not happening. Instead we have these religious zealots that will not watch anything that doesn't have the right brand-logo under the video. It's fucking insane.
Pic related is an example of how much fun the chats in the two streams were having.
On the left, is Mumei's boring-ass chatting stream with 8000 viewers. On the right, is Miori's fantastic, epic karaoke with 800 viewers. Who is having more fun do you think? Why are thousands of people choosing the inferior option?
