Brat here, I wanted to clear up some misunderstandings that people had about Bae regarding the collab, I saw that a lot of people were (understandably) annoyed but they were being a disingenuous with their labeling regarding the poor rat
First of all, most people here seem to have this misunderstanding that Bae is "normal" and "perfectly healthy"
That would be wrong, Bae has this special breed of autism where she becomes hyperfocused whenever there is a task involved that requires attention, she enters this "zone" where she only hears what she's seeing. This is especially evident in video games that require attention. You can attribute this problem to both autism and lack of experience with gaming, something that comes naturally to other girls (talking and gaming) is a mountain of difficulty for her. She relegates to reactionary commentary when focusing on an attention-requiring objective.
Minecraft is a rather chill game but Bae had a objective in mind before starting the stream
She, as a result, ended up hyperfocusing on the objective of the stream rather than kicking back and relaxing with her friends.
None of her "ignores' were deliberate and intentional, neither were her "interrupts"
Secondly, you have to consider, this wasn't a arranged collab which was pre-planned.
The other girls decided to join Bae and she herself wasn't sure they would before she got the message from Gura on-stream.
Because of the nature of the stream, most people thought that Bae was actively and deliberately ignoring her collab partners
That couldn't be more wrong, refer to my first point. The thing is Bae is great in every non-game collab, because she can then focus on the conversation instead of the game. (see the Ame collab, rat reviews or Chadcast)
As a result of these factors, the stream ended up being very underwhelming
Bae puts far too much importance on the
"objective" of the stream and she doesn't realize that her audience won't be disappointed in her if she just wants to hang around with her friends on stream. I myself genuinely just wanted to see the little rat have fun with her friends instead of being obsessed with a railway.
It's also not her fault that she was the only POV, keep that in mind so had this responsibility of "being a cameraman" that's on you the watcher of having such expectations.
The ignoring and interrupting however, was annoying even for me and I'm not trying to excuse that it brought down the stream.I'm trying to make it CLEAR that none of it was intentional. She is not normally like this, only when playing attention-demanding games or focusing on objectives.
TLDR, productivity is the death of fun in Minecraft, Rat is not evil and intentionally malicious, just autistic Baeby brain
Good day everyone.
