>>24518397all this would be is a pain in the ass, because it means having to keep track of a bunch of people who no longer work under you--if they move, change bank accounts, marry and change their name, etc. i work for a jp company that canned all their freelancers and part-timers early in the pandemic just because having to track them was annoying since they weren't contract employees. many jp companies care less about lost revenue and more about having a clean break. not to mention, if they just said "once you cut contract all revenue made by the channel belongs to nijisanji" it would be a really bad look that they probably equally want to avoid.
either way at the end of the day it doesn't matter, the person's fans will download the archive before is disappears (since unlike ara chae most have a formal announcement and give ample notice) and nijisanji obviously doesn't miss the money so they're going to continue wiping the archives once people graduate.
