Yesterday was Zen's debut and all the other VShojos cleared out their schedules so they could make it. And it was a pretty great time! The lore video was super interesting and presented a post-apocalyptic future that Z3N hailed from. There are mysteries to be solved about whatever happened to dragon Zen and the possibility of transferring memories and what not. Mel was heavily involved in Zen's lore, essentially taking the role of a sex-fueled SKYNET from the Terminator series that infected all the world's computers and ended humanity to usher in a pleasurable age of robots and cyborgs. Even fucking Gunrun cameo'd in the lore video... peddling rats. No fucking joke. But of all the little lore tidbits packed into that video the one that may be most interesting is the day that Melware took over the world. June 15th, 2022. Obviously that date's going to be important. Will it be the date for Mel's new debut? Or, as some people are leaning towards, a possible date for new VShojo members given that Mel actually referenced the auditions in the lore video? Nobody fucking knows but that's less than a month away so we won't have to wait long to find out!
Of course, all of that was just in the first half of the stream. After introductions were had there were birthday wishes with tons of cameos from indies, a couple Holos, and more than a few Nijis. Things got extra emotional during the Haruka part if you're into mood whiplash definitely check that out. There was also Crab Game later, which immediately led to Zen being bullied over being a robot now. Insults included calling Zen a toaster, a tin can, and probably most absurd of all, a roomba who slides around the floor like a dog to vacuum stuff up. A visual made all the better by Haruka conveniently having an actual vacuum cleaner on hand to provide the necessary SFX to sell the joke. And yes there's already fanart depicting Zen as a toaster so expect that one to stick at least. A great stream, even if Fulgur won a lot of Crab Games and declared himself the superior cyborg.
A fun day and a stream well worth checking out. Or at least the first half if you're not interested in a Crab Game collab. Or even just the first half hour if you're only interested in the lore video. There was also a bunch of new Zen merch so check that out if you're high on the robot's design. As for today it's the weekend so things are going to slow down, but Zen's already live to hang out so make sure to keep things comfy and civil by ignoring and especially reporting bait, and being excellent to each other.
