But Nijisanji Jp has a shit-ton of Chinese fans too, and they still collab. NijiEN collabs with Vshojo too, despite most of their members showing Coco support during the Taiwan situation, and still now collabing with her.
Veibae has said "Taiwan is a country" the exact same thing as Coco, no mistake , meant it, but isn't blacklisted by NijiEN.

Bunch of newfags here, the reasons given didn't exist during the Lazusydia days and make no sense when taking NijiID and NijiJP into account. Maybe nowdays they make sense like "war lol" or vox china, but back then? It was most likely by management from HoloEN trying to prevent NijiEN from becoming a serious competitor. NijiEN management blocking it would be strange but could possibly explained by the fact that Noor is the manager and NijiIN tried to rebrand as NijiEN, something about being bitter and petty

Now, NijiJP doesn't need CN fans to survive. They can afford to slight CN to some extents - in the worst case, they still have their stellar JP fanbase to go back to. NijiEN, on the other hand, does. Just look at the difference between Luxiem's numbers and Noctyx's, or heck, Luxiem's Asian hours numbers and their EN hours numbers.
("But this happened way before Luxiem was a thing" - it wouldn't matter, since those companies make their plans months ahead)

It would matter, because there is no way they could have anticipated Luxiem being such a hit with chinks, so they wouldn't have "planned" to avoid Hololive for that beforehand.

Holo EN members have friends that aren't in Vshojo or Niji EN and either have to fight hard to get that collab or just don't collab. This isn't a Niji EN only thing, they just happen to be one of the bigger corpos Holo EN ignores for collaborations.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the China situation within the vtuber industry. It's becoming increasingly hard to sustain a presence in the chinese market due to censorship and government restrictions, which means that more agencies will ditch them like Hololive did. Sure, folks like Akuma currently have a large chinese fanbase, but I think it's going to shrink one way or another due to government crackdowns on forms of entertainment like vtubers and gaming, or maybe on VPNs (which are very widely used by CN fans). Either way, the CCP is too obsessed with cutting off "unmanly" hobbies (weeb shit) from the population, it's basically a govt-sponsored reverse sissification program, kek.
Also, this board likes to shit on VShojo a lot (often for good reasons), but they've been very earnest and coherent on their China stance, which is commendable.
