You do make a fair point about backlash, but I think if you're that kind of youtuber you're expecting and even wanting to get backlash to get more attention to your videos, and attacking Gura would accomplish that way better.
If they didn't want backlash for some reason, they could go after any of the other similarly sized loli vtubers that actually embrace lolicon and even draw their own.
