Whole purpose of music is evoke or enhance emotions. JB's music was aimed at young girls and it made them happy so it's great music in their mind. In contrast, bands like LP, SoaD created music for people with angst, depression, loneliness, rejection and all sorts of negative stuff and so on.
You could argue that Mori's music/rap is lower quality than XYZ music but you would have to bring some sort of standard for fair comparison and even then it wouldn't instantly make her music shit. I know people who only listen to certain genre of metal music and I'm pretty sure that 99% of world's population thinks it's shit and yet they think the same of all pop music. However, if you wanted to get all technical then opera singers and orchestral composers mog literally everyone in the music industry.
Finally, I agree that there is music that could be appreciated more but is instead being overshadowed by other performers simply because of business reasons such as advertisement or general visual appeal but that's how things are. I'd like to see a vtuber as popular as Mori or Suisei but doing metal/rock music but I doubt we'll get that anytime soon.
