The appeal of a vtuber is similar to that of a tiddy streamer, but somehow even more disingenuous and their viewers are pathetic. They are actors that appeal to anime obsessed orbiters with the goal of milking out as much money they can from them while putting on a fake persona (there’s even corporate vtubers under HoloLive that are given guidelines on what to play, say, and how to act). Their viewers (You) haven’t talked to girls in real life, so they actually believe that the vtuber persona is genuine and happily fork over $30 to have their super chats read on stream.
