If you’re not getting into some form of romantic/sexual relationship with another person it is voluntary.
If you refuse to get your looks, body, hygiene and health in check and as a result you can’t find anyone, that’s your personal decision.
If you think you’re too “bad” or out of their league and as a result can’t find anyone, that’s your personal decision.
Vice versa if you refuse people because you think you’re better than them or they’re not in your league because of looks, status or intellect and as a result can’t find anyone, that’s your personal decision.
If you can’t muster the confidence and self respect to talk to new people and as a result can’t find anyone, that’s your personal decision.
If you create your life in a way that your job, hobbies, political views or religion are too important to you, so you won’t put them on a lower priority and as a result can’t find anyone, that’s your personal decision.
And lastly if you let your family and friends intervene into your life that much that it hinders you in that aspect too, that means that putting their opinions before your own is your decision too.
Nobody is involuntarily celibate, these people just love to blame others instead of taking responsibility for their own actions.
