I'm a bit disappointed that the artwork for the song is done by mamaloni. Don't get me wrong, her art is fucking based and amazing, but I wanted to see Kiara drawn by a different artist like in Sparks. Mamaloni already did her valentine's song and I wanted to see a new artist/style to make the song even more unique

Hmmm, it sounds weird because they didn't try to go with any type of rhyming structure which is odd for an English song. Definitely sounds like it was translated from another language, unlike Sparks. I like the beat and visuals though, they nailed those.

Lyrics: 5/10

Overall a pretty solid original. It's interesting visuals and 80's aesthethics are a breathe of fresh air while still having a very Kiara attitude. My biggest issue is that the lyrics kinda slow down the pace of the song. They're not as engaging or popping as Sparks or Hinotori nor do they ooze idol charm like Heart Challenger. They aren't unbearable but do feel like a detriment to the song overall

This is her weakest song for me, the vocal direction is really dissonant except for the japanese part. Maybe it will grow on me, the chorus is already starting to. It's a shame because the MV is probably my favorite in all the EN releases and the instrumentals are also great.

I thought it was really good. But the lyrics should have been tweaked a bit. Some of the phrasing was clumsy and hamstrung Kiara's natural ability. It reminds me of Irys's english lyrics a bit. If it were a little smoother and left more space for Kiara to stretch out her singing it would have been a certified banger.

Still dope. Good video. Good vocals. Good beat. I'd love to hear a remix though

I wouldn't go that far. Astrophysics clearly made the track with vocals as the focus, since it doesn't have the impact like some of his remixes. If I treat Kiara like another instrument, I can see the cohesion they were aiming for.

For vocals, it varies, but it could be managable since Redshift for example already has experience with drum'n'bass given his remix of Hinotori. If I'm honest, this subgenre of drum'n'bass is not something I often listen to, I'm more on the neuro side of it which is mostly instrumental/uses sampling, so I can't give you recommendations. It's just a genre I'd like someone to take a crack at.
But I've heard good things about Hospital Records, that could be a good starting point.

Alright just got done listening to it. Sounds like it wants to be New Order but is either missing a bit of the cheesy charm of 80's synth or is just a little too complicated/cluttered. Vocals are not a great fit and are just a little too poppy to fit that asthetic. Cute art. 6/10, I liked Sparks a lot more and Hinotori a little more.

That was the same month her channel got deleted and then also shortly after when she moved back she was shadowbanned. This killed it algorithmically and if that isn't enough it's a highly seasonal song, so it had pretty bad performance for a long time.

Tried to like the song, but the lyrics are a mess, music is too cluttered, chorus doesn't stand out at all.

I think people are people too much weight on words being pronounced right or wrong when that kind of misses the whole point of music. Some of her ESL-ism could be seen as weird with the beat, but a lot of it is how you'd normal change emphasis to fit with a track. English isn't the sort of language where it is a sin to mix it up a little.

Anyway in a day we'll never hear this moaning about the lyrics again, it isn't that big a problem and largely the thing some shitposters latched onto. I fully expect the post stream to have Kiara go "its for fun lol" and the global to spam based.

The instrumental is pretty good.
Lyrics are kinda whatever, they don't rhyme which is always odd for an English song, and they don't flow particularly well either, but they're okay enough on their own. Her pronouncing it as me-LO-dy fucks me up inside.

I REALLY liked the music and the visuals, but as other anon's have said, the lyrics were the weakest link. Idk, to me, they just didn't flow well with the song, and as others have said, the Japanese portions actually stood out in that respect. I think that's my biggest problem. I was coming in hoping for Synthwave from the title art, but there's no real heavy hitting moments, the vocals just wiff with the style overall, and it ends up being a not very great generic sounding 80's song without the charm of the goofy synth of the era.
