I had a blood cot in my lower intestine and they had to keep rechecking my blood levels.

I wished they'd do that, they'd sometimes wake me up at 4 in the morning to take blood and sometimes the nurse would miss the vein or it would be so purple from all the stabbing that they would need to get the blood from another place. Honestly, being woken up at 4 with the lights at maximum, the feeling of a needle going in your swollen and purple arm and a quiet "... damn" when they missed scarred more than just my veins. To this day I can't take blood without going white.
