>>25134879Unironically it's because she's in Nijisanji.
Holo has a Box for tourist events where EOPs, JOP, IOPs and all sorts of varied audiences tune in for events that are in the timezone which they can watch.
JP time will usually give you the best numbers for any of these events.
But... the HoloBox also includes people who are dedicated to their Oshi and 99% of the time the new hire will not be enough to get them to sway from their current favorite. Mostly because of the idol-type fanbase and because in idol circles, Oshihen is serious business.
Nijisanji are not shackled by these idol-like tendencies. They have a far more normie audience who will never watch any of their streamers regularly, because most of the time they'd rather be playing the games themselves, or would be Young people busy working for some JP black company 24x7 (also why their antis tend to be far more vitriolic).
But if there's a Niji event, they will show up and boost the numbers, and most of the time the "event" is usually a one time thing like a debut or Koshien or fest or w/e.
Most of these normies will tune in to chuubas, see their scuffed initial streams and shitty 1.0 models, and immediately nope the fuck out.
But for this one instance, Salome is entertaining enough that it manages to catch their interest, and KEEP it.
You are watching what happens when the Niji tourist audience get a streamer that's actually entertaining. They will stay for as long as they can.
I expect maybe 20-30k drop off on Monday though, since they still have to go to work.
