I think it was produced well in a technical sense, but I kinda found it difficult to get in to the scenario personally. Maybe it has to do with a lack of experiences or feelings for Nade to draw upon. If I compare it with the girlfriend scenario, that one felt a lot more real. Also being called a good boy felt kind of strange. I know it's somewhat normal in Japanese, but it's not really something we call other people in English. It's more something reserved for pets I feel.

It's definitely used for younger children, not just pets. Maybe it's a generational thing and people do it less now.
One thing I'll say I appreciated in this one is that it's more gentle than the two before. The other characters she played were demanding, although never in a way that wasn't endearing, so it wasn't a bad thing. This one was straightforward TLC, possibly with the added understanding that the real girl playing the role has always wanted to be perceived by those around her as mature and dependable, if you happen to know that. With the metacontext in mind it's an especially genuine performance, despite being a relatively one.

I didn't even think about that in this case when that's one of the reasons that I really liked the girlfriend one. You're right that Nade's expressed the desire to be seen as someone dependable and as a protector. That should help me appreciate it more, thanks. I still don't think it will top the girlfriend one for me though, since that one is just so filled with so many things that draw from her real life.

I believe that any piece of media has to stand on its own, but that doesn't mean it can't also be enjoyed from other perspectives you know? Especially in this case, where you can think of Nade's entire streaming career as a broader canon.
By the way, the bratty girlfriend has also been my favorite so far. I already went into it in the relevant thread but suffice to say it manages to push a lot of my buttons.

Unfortunately, but there's an order of magnitude's worth of difference in terms of awareness of Japanese subculture when it comes to knowing Japanese artists compared to what the average weeb knows. At least butthole anon was bold enough to request that an artist reprise a piece for Nade when he saw something he liked. What I'm saying is, we should all try to be more like butthole anon.
