NijiEN never was a big rival to JPs in the first place, like literally not once ever, and then split their audience a bunch with wholesale attaching the males into everything. That's plain different than how NijiJP runs, a lot of the most successful NijiJP women are not terribly different than HoloJPs in setup, maybe with like 1 more token male stream every month or two, but otherwise rather similar vibes.
That being said it's not like these girls are begging for scraps on the streets, some of the Myths are undoubtedly millionaires and all the Holo girls are doing quite well, and most of the NijiEN girls probably are doing just fine too. It's just yeah the EN momentum all around is definitely stalled out compared to the JP scene feeling fucking stronger than ever. The only energetic input in EN the past half year were Luxiem but that was shown to be basically because Chinese fujos took to them which isn't really the same as the usual EN crowd, Noctyx shows -somewhat- more how (un)popular they really are. If you took the Chinese out of the picture from Noctyx and only had the actual Western audience they'd be like Reimu tier.
