Some of the absolute kindest and most caring people I've met among vtuber watchers are Chinese. Mainlanders are a mixed bunch because of differing internet and political cultures, but in general they tend towards not actually being nearly as schizo as people pretend.

I have no faith that most streamers are capable of mitigating the risk either, its incredibly easy to blindly trust people who through thousands of dollars at you and unconditionally love you. Especially when those people 99% of the time aren't malicious, just normal people who fell in love with a streamer.

eh, i imagine its just difficult when you're put in the position where you can literally lift someone out of poverty and irrelevancy and make them a popular influencer.
