EOP support hasn't correlated to an increase in EOP money nearly as much as people here are implying and she knows this, and a lot of it is going to dry up when things aren't as dire for her (and it partially has already since she hasn't been streaming on YouTube much). A LOT of the stuff she's had to say about Western viewers has been in Japanese, including most of the directly very positive stuff. I'm genuinely glad that she's too dumb to fully understand the entire dialogue on the EN side about her. I haven't been personally keeping an eye on Hololive. My main concern recently is my increased awareness about how vile the anti situation is over in Japan (and not just for Mikeneko).
I'm not trying to be the next Nostradamus here, but I really can't help but think that the vtubing industry is growing very big now and as a result, we will have something tragic happen within the next five years. Either a very large indie or a decent sized corpo chuuba, but some talent is going to have their life cut short due to some bullshit.
