>>25580065I agree but I have to ask, by Holo you meant HoloJP right? HoloEN really lacks that SoL feel. Member interactions are one of the keys to it and Myth doesn't fucking interact, there's no "gen" feel. Council collabs (+Gura) can be funny but they don't feel like SoL at all, they feel like regular Western Twitch streamers collabs. Respect to those who try branching out and collabing outside of EN (Kiara, Ina, IRyS, Bae) but that's not enough.
One more thing that makes Holo SoL-style is chuubas talking about their everyday experiences, I mean just mundane things like how their day went, how they interacted with other Holomems, their dancing and singing lessons, their meals, minor life happenings like home renovations or catching colds etc. Of course HoloEN does it too but they're just a bit more distant than JPs and strangely that small bit of distance kills SoL feel.
And last thing, I think idol stuff and things like celebrating milestones hold the whole atmosphere together. Say like a SoL anime where it's CGDCT 85% of the time but 15% of the time it's working towards some big goal like reviving a club or something and it makes the whole experience more engaging. JP Holos have something like this with their 3D lives and milestone streams where you can have an emotional moment and feel proud for your oshi for coming this far. ENs lack these special moments too unfortunately because most of them aren't interested in singing stuff. Sure they want to stand on the same scene as their senpais and all that, they all say it and I think it's genuine, but most don't care enough to actively practice for something other than Holofes.
