I've also never seen a public corpo act in any way other than trying to make its quarterly reports look good.
I remember with Blizzard they fired 800 people and then reported to the shareholders it's "record" financial numbers

That guy has no clue what he's talking about. 2020 Mar - 2021 Mar was $57.2m revenue, $10.9m profit. 2022 Q1 wasn't released, so in 3 quarters from 2021 April to 2021 December or so they did $75.8m and $23.3m in profit.

For reference, Cover in the 2020 Mar- 2021 Mar did around $37.5m in revenue and around $11.3m in profit.

You're including "Non-Operating Income" in that amount which includes 5 million in government grants. Niji doesn't have anywhere near the overall revenue that Cover does on account that Cover has much more lucrative sponsorships and better ad revenue from getting roughly 1 billion more views across their channels each year than Nijisanji does.
