At debut and pre-TT she was just the most cringe-inducing of the lot, but still liked by many, and Kiara was absorbing most of the unironic hatred at that point
The combo of membership tiers, thanking donations in collabs, and the massive monetization stream with all the crying and "baiting" was only just beginning to birth "Money Mori" shitposting
The TT news flipped a switch, half the thread now deeply hated Mori and the other half were done with HoloEN entirely on the assumption that Mori was breaking barriers and the other Myth girls would soon follow with e-celeb collabs of their own. Over the months that followed, it became clearer to "done with EN" posters that Mori's desires weren't actually representative of the other Myth girls' desires, and things slowly coalesced into everyone largely united in hating on Mori and deadbeats, followed by her first big breakdown culminating in the 5% thing (itself was out of context with the literal meaning of her words being closer to "it sucks that I don't get to share more than 5% of my life with my viewers", but the ascribed meaning of "I don't care about Hololive" did accurately capture what a lot of people hated about her)
"Season 2 Mori" followed after that, with her good long streams and "JK fairy" arc almost earning her back her "merely the most cringey of Myth" status
And of course after that came the second and bigger lean meltdown, and past life revival (which still ranks to me as one of the most disrespectful and "cashing in on Holo fame" moments in all of Hololive history)
