>>25865080I feel like after Council and after seeing overall ENs kind of stagnate while JP scene is stronger than ever, EN really just isn't the "it" branch anymore. Still though like ID it'll probably get at least one gen a year, and unlike Holostars which went pretty-much 2 years solid without a new entry.
As for if it's something worth getting excited over, I dunno. Myth blew the scene open but because they were the foundation and everyone else came along they're kind of diluted out these days. Even though I think NijiEN mostly sucks and is getting worse, still between them and a bunch of random small corpos but also a ton of random twitch indies, we're very used to seeing all sorts of different ideas/themes/mentalities existing somewhere in the EN chuuba sphere within easy reach these days, where before they were kind of an obscure novelty before Myth came out besides a literal tiny handful.
So unless EN3 pulls out something unique out of the scene that is not easy to get in competition, they'll probably go like Council, the boring route of random 2views turned into holos. And I mean like truly fucking random, bae was not in any objective measure a big name people were excited about pre-Holo, nobody was fucking pining for her being a HoloEN - same with Kronii, although Kronii on paper seemed like maybe an interesting prospect because of that voice, her weird nature etc but seemed very much to see Holo as the finish line, that she made it and can chill now - not the starting line. The issue with Council is motivation, they need their picks to all be competitive, to care about the current scene and to use themselves to project influence into it and not just be passives waiting to collect monthly member wages.
