Instead of maturely assuring the guy (who is/was obviously a fan of hers, and wanted her to avoid a situation that would make her unhappy, otherwise he wouldn't have cared enough to warn her) that she would conduct herself well, and would look out for any shady behavior from them to insure she doesn't associate with people who could hurt her, she instead mocked him for it, and MOST IMPORTANTLY she said she'd donate the money he'd given her to him. That last part isn't only rude, one could say it's outright hostile because that guy clearly didn't like Connor and would be uncomfortable with him gaining money from him even indirectly. This was probably seen on her /vt/ thread, twitter, reddit, and other places where they talked about it, whether mocking the guy like or reddit or annoyed with her like on here, which then inspired trolls here and elsewhere to go lolcow tipping on an obviously easy mark. Plus the Condom Money superchat was even reportedly sent by a fan of hers who did it as a joke, as an anon claiming to be him claimed in a thread. pic related

Obviously this all goes beyond the initial genuine criticism of that guy who warned against Connor, but it's a good example of what happens when you handle actual criticism as hate, you'll often end up getting it in the end.
>>25959692Yeah, I hope she'll handle it well as I rarely see people deal with these things well and would love to see a good example of a talent acknowledging things like this but going forward with it anyway with assurance to the concerned fans that they're being listened to and heard, feeling like they're being ignored is the thing that tends to piss those types off most, and justifiably so so long as they're being reasonable. I just REALLY hope they hire good en stars so it's not a situation where she genuinely shouldn't involve herself with them.
