>>2720763I think you don't understand what a planeswalker is. Planes walkers are like you, the player, but fighting along side you on the battlefield. They don't just have some ability, they are "casting" as spell in a sense. You the player are a planeswalker too. So when you have planeswalker abilities, they should mimic a spell they are using.
Jace the Mind Sculptor
>+2 fateseal - Prcognition>0 - Brainstorm>-1 - Unsummon>-12 - ultimateUltimates can be something all their own, but everything else should use a template from another card in the past.
Gura's 1st ability is similar to Preordain but not even Preordain but even better. btw, Preordain isn't even Modern legal.
So that should tell you something about how the ability stacks up
>>2717845>A discard/mill/edict of YOUR CHOICE all in one ability. That should is fucking absurd
An ability that is always good and always upticks and always gives you a token
For 3 cmc, Liliana of the Veil, the previously most powerful 3 cmc planeswalker
>+1, BOTH players discard>-2, Player sacs a CREATUREThere are plenty of games where the guy who plays Lilliana does nothing with her deliberately because the cost of the +1 is too hardsh
>>2717863Getting to play a planeswalker every turn if your opponent spends their turn to destroy it is fucking absurd.
Retrace, a mechanic on par with Storm in its place of never getting another card printed with that ability, HAS A COST MORE DEMANDING THAN THIS.
If it said, return it to your hand Only use this ability as a sorcery, then fine, you're taking a turn off to return it to hand, but Returning it straight to the battlefield, Uncounterably, and an ability that can be used immediately?
>>2722581Blue used to have tax, but now it has counter clauses. If you have something with no clause, then it's in White. Blue will tell you it'll counter it or something.
