>>26939320>She;s genuinely terrible at rap, and that's supposed to be her selling point?Wrong, actually. Her "selling point" is specifically that she's a BIG TIDDY ANIME GIRL doing the rap. The juxtaposition (or "gimmick", if you will) is what created her novelty value in the first place and let her blow up so quickly when she unexpectedly came out with some rap songs right out of the gate, cleverly riding the debut hype buff at its most opportune moment for maximum visibility (I say "unexpected" because, again, if she came out with just bog standard idol pop songs, people would've cared much less).
The actual "quality" of her rap, or lack thereof, has no bearing on that (and the history of mainstream music shows you anyway that "popularity" and "quality" have never been correlated).
The braindead ironic weeb normie masses she is targeted at couldn't tell a good rap from a bad rap anyway, they're all just in it for the initial novelty value of " "ayooo, what's that, a big tiddy ANIME girl...RAPPING??? Haha, that's so wacky and original, the greatest shit I've ever seen!!! Liked and subscribed, and shared with all my friends, OMG look have you seen this, it's an ANIME GIRL but... get this... she's also RAPPING?!?! Yes, I know, that's crazy right? Finally some ~rap~ I can listen to without pissing my pants because it's not from a scary black man..."
No one, not even her "fans" seriously argues that her music is the best ever, or even good, they are mostly just in it for "le dorky gap moe tomboy" personality and big tiddy avatar. If you take that away and just judge the music on its own merits, no one would care about it
