I don't understand why they get so hyped up. They still have a language barrier and it has been so long most of the fans forgot about pekomoona.
You can't go all about their bond and whatever when they talk to each other every 3 months. It may have been a precious thing at the start but they have mostly moved on since that, barring a few punctual collabs.

It was an impromptu Collab on Minecraft, yet it gathered that many people on both Pekora and Moona's stream (around 14k I believe for Moona)
I'm fairly sure a ton of JOPs as well as EOPs are still expecting the duo to Collab once again, which should be happening in a few hours now.

That's exactly the charm of this collaboration. You can say that PekoMiko, CocoKanata, BotanLamy or any other ships as the best tete ship or whatever, but nothing can beat the PekoMoon despite the language barrier they can have fun together. Not to mention a lot of coincidence happened, too good to be faked and staged. It's like the universe wants them to be together, watching them is like watching anime with superb plot.

Its specifically because it always happens organically, they don't plan it. Its so weirdly frequent and its charming that they go out of their way to communicate more than most holomen would in a spontaneous unplanned situation. Its why everyone loved the minecraft arc so much.
