So instead to protect their IP they had two wrestlers play the gimmicks. It was really lame and poorly recieved sort of like the multiple Kizuna Ai's.
Anyway this VOD is why people are connecting those dots. Because what Kson did feels eerily similar. Hell the speech Hogan gives sounds similar to KSons reasons for leaving Cover.
