Whenever you're attacking the monster there's:
>Hit blood effects>Hit light effects>Elemental hit effects>Varying sizes of light flashing depending on the attack>Weapon effects like phial explosions/gunlance explosions>affinity modifiers to light flashing making them brighter>All of the above, but for the stuff your dog is doing>All of the above for each player AND their dog>the damage numbersThese all combine to make what the monster is doing pretty hard to make out from all the noise for decent stretches of time, which is a danger because the monster could be revving up their own moves. It also makes player actions hard to read which can mess up sensitive combo chains
