I just realized something. When Rushia's whole thing happened, I remember one of the main things people talked about was how GFE vtubers are terrible and are just trying to manipulate people and they need to be purged.

But, isn't there literally a BFE streamer right now whose name starts with a V who everyone and their mother loves?

You completely missed a fucking major thing that happened a few weeks ago where Reimu interrupted one of Vox's BFE streams and the Fujos lost their fucking minds and threatened to kill her on social media. The progressive twittertards and the nijigirls that align with them hounded vox to call out said Fujos. He did in a stream where he went on a long rant against "parasocial relationships" and defended Reimu. Barely 24 hours later he flip flopped, cried onstream and asked the fujos to forgive him.
Some of them did. His income is mostly unaffected but his viewership took a hit because the westerners in his audience fucked off along with a few fujos.
So the people that you're talking about are mostly done with him, but it doesn't fucking matter because they're not the ones paying his bills.

I don't know Vox but did he actually do that? Can you show me a source because that shit sounds way too fucking crazy.

Vox doesn't get hate here because no one actually watches him on /vt/. The majority of Vox posting is blatantly using him as a battering ram to hate on hololive.
Tons of people think he's a total fucking creep otherwise. It's not really any different from Rushia except that Nijisanji tends to put up a bit more rabid of a defense force.

Rushia has been seen as one that doesn't think things thoroughly. And I doubt she could understand the problems she was creating. Otherwise, she wouldn't show her face on stream as Mikeneko. That's dangerous af, after all the shit she went through.
For profit, various corporations (including Idol Corps) take advantage of people that would develop such unhealthy relationships with idols, waifus, pngs.
In Vox's case, he most probably knows exactly what he is doing. I've seen those flirty streams. With Rushia it was mostly running gags. With him, it's the norm.
