>>27925201You are objectively wrong.
>1. Does it convey information about the character? No, it looks like generic steampunk with asymmetric socks. An adventurer rather than the creator of civilization.
>2. Usage of fabricsThat shit barely covers her chest, plus what is going on with the fingerless glove just for the pinkie and index? Never seen her wear that hoodie. Boots are nice though.
>3. DistinctivenessThe only thing distinctive about her design is her paired mascot, an owl. In fact, the color scheme works against here. There is little to no visual attraction to the character, unless you like looking at breasts.
>4. Tone and presentation?Mumei, tonally dark personality aside, is aloof and trite. Far from the "adventurer" accessories stapled to her utility belt. Also, do you really believe she has ever read a book that didn't require reading?
Ina, Mori, Gura, Kronii, Rrat, and Fauna have objectively better outfit designs. The best ones being a tie between Rrat and Gura.
If there's a way to describe Mumei's outfit, is that it's comfy. However, if you asked a child to draw her, you would probably have a hard time figuring out where she's from. Simplicity is sometimes key, and it's something a lot of Jap artists neglect for flashiness.
